Ὅτι οὐ γινώσκει τὰ μέλλοντα ἐν ἑαυτοῖς· ὑπὸ γὰρ μόνου τοῦ Θεοῦ οὕτω γινώσκονται, ᾧ πάντα εἰσὶ παρόντα, τῆς αὐτοῦ νοήσεως ἐπὶ πάντα φερομένης τὸν χρόνον ὁμοῦ. Ἐν δὲ ταῖς αὐτῶν αἰτίαις ἔνια γινώσκει· καὶ τὰ μὲν ἀναγκαίως ἐξ αὐτῶν προϊόντα βεβαίῳ ἐπιστήμῃ γινώσκει, ὡς οἱ ἀστρολόγοι τὴν μέλλουσαν ἔκλειψιν· τὰ δέ, ὡς ἐπὶ τὸ πλεῖστον, στοχαστικῶς, ἢ μᾶλλον καὶ ἧττον, καθόσον καὶ τὰ αἴτια μᾶλλον ἢ ἧττον ἐπὶ τὰ ἀποτελέσματα ῥέπουσιν.

Summary - Description:
The future can not be predicted in objects themselves, but only by God, for everything is within God, and He knows the causes of all things. Science knows the outcome of all, just as the astrologists know a future eclipse.
