Theoleptus metropolitan of Philadelpheia
Theoleptos lived from 1250 to 1322(?) and is considered as one of the most important Orthodox theologians in the period immediately before that of St. Gregory Palamas and the Hesychast controversies. He was prominent among the anti-unionists after the Council of Lyon, and was an active opponent of Patriarch Arsenios and his followers (Arsenite schism).
