Summary - Description:
This article consists of a comparison between determinism and teleology, as two completely incompatible theories about the principle behind the phenomena. The author tries to prove the contradiction to which they are led those (Schopenhauer) who attempt to explain the function of the body and the arrangements of its members based on a will without conscience and without cognition.
