Georgios P. Patronos
George P. Patronos is professor emeritus of the Department of Theology of the University of Athens. It' considered of great importance his contribution to the issue of eschatology, as introduced in Orthodox theology the term" functional eschatology ". He studied at the Theological School of Athens and continued with postgraduate studies in Oxford, England in the fields of biblical studies. Then he visited the countries of East Africa and worked as a missionary together with Greek priests, as special envoy of the Overseas Mission Office of the Church of Greece.
