Ioannis Skaltsounis

Skaltsounis studied in the Ionian Academy and later got a doctorate in Lav from the University of Pisa. He was a firm supporter of the Cretan Revolution of 1866 and was later charged with composing the 1880 Cretan Law. He was also awarded an honorary doctorate in Theology from the University of Athens and served as the representative of Kefalonia in the Greek Parliament.
