Patriarch Christophoros II of Alexandreia

Christophoros of Alexandreia was born in Eastern Thrace under the name Charalampos Danielidis. He graduated from the Theological School of jerusalem in 1900 and became the Bishop (Metropolitan of Axomi) in 1908 and of Leontopolis in 1914. In 1939, he became the Patriarch of Alexandreia. He is known for inaugurating a new wave of missionary work in Africa.
